Respiratory diseases affect 275 million children worldwide every year and put a $129B direct cost burden on the healthcare systems. Despite being a priority for WHO and international societies, respiration diseases remain largely under-diagnosed and poorly managed. Gabi SmartCare is a med-tech start-up developing predictive at-home monitoring solutions for early diagnostics and daily management of chronic respiratory diseases. Gabi’s connected and predictive analytics platform brings peace of mind to parents while providing pediatricians with unique data to anticipate and manage respiratory events and complications.

 

Our first product is a baby bracelet that monitors signs of respiratory diseases and alerts parents in case of upcoming crisis. It’s a class IIB medical device developed and validated in partnership with leading hospitals in Europe. Early market traction was demonstrated through user surveys and a successful pre-sales campaign, and market introduction is planned for late 2020.

Back from TechTour event

We have been very pleased to participate to this inspiring and efficient TechTour event, where we had the chance to discuss closely with big health tech players (Medtronic, Robert Bosch, UCB, Pfizer,..), to meet great founders and to have very interesting and deep discussions with many HealthTech investors.

European Healthtech Investment Forum in Helsinki next week
